HTC Desire Z and Nokia C7 on Vodafone UK

Two new desirable smartphones have landed with Vodafone UK and are now available to buy on various deals.

Both the QWERTY-touting HTC Desire Z and the Symbian^3-based Nokia C7 are now on Vodafone UK.

If you’re tempted by either device, we’ll just give you a quick overview of their key features. Naturally, for the Desire Z one of its standout features is its slide-out keyboard so you can mix how you message – sometimes by tapping the 3.7 inch screen while at other times by typing on the physical keyboard. Designed like most high-end smartphones, for social networking and entertainment, you’ll find plenty of support for sites like Facebook and Twitter as well as music and video.

One thing that may surprise you, though, is the price – the Desire Z on Vodafone is offered from £35 a month for tariffs including a free handset. This is the same £35 a month cost for the Desire HD mobile phone, which boasts advanced features like a 4.3 inch screen, Dolby Mobile technology and an 8-megapixel camera. This HTC device is also offered on Orange, T-Mobile, O2 as well as Vodafone so there are plenty of options to compare mobile phone offers at least. And this phone has been created to really appeal to those who want to have a high-end touchscreen-QWERTY combination on their smartphone.

The Nokia C7 runs on the same Symbian OS as the Nokia N8 and the recently launched Nokia C6-01 phone. Features include an 8-megapixel camera, and three customisable home screens which let you add shortcuts and apps for instant access. The Nokia C7 on Vodafone is available from £25 a month with a free phone. You can also buy the C7 on 3, O2, Orange and T-Mobile.
